Well
folks, I'm sure you all need to know how I got tied up in
this Brotherhood stuff. My story isn't long, elaborate,
dramatic, or even sexual (Sorry kids, maybe next time!).
See, I was advertising at Don's message boards that I was
willing to create 3D cinematics for anyone's Rm2k project.
The first taker was our good buddy Vince. He gave me his
description, I delivered, he was pleased. (Fire sound effect...
AHH!!) Ahem. During the production process we spoke over
AIM a bit. At that point we were acting a wee bit serious
towards eachother, you know, like you'd usually do towards
someone new. You don't just open the can of Funny Gas right
there (No not farts, stay focused on my story!). Sometime
after I was finished with the cinematic, I visited the B*B.
It was a link in Vince's sig, and I clicked it out of boredom.
I was clicking through Don's, looking at peoples' signatures,
and Vince's caught my eye. Plain and simple. I clicked.
I liked. The whole concept of B*B at that moment was still
foggy for me, but from what I understood right off the bat
it was a real nice place filled with hand-made goodies and
a fantastic sense of humor. It seemed too good to be true,
but it wasn't. It wasn't the stoic watchman of sites out
there, but it was, and still is today, a funny but still
high-quality active site with fairly busy staff, character,
and "Plenty of beers to go around".
I was feeling adventurous, and I had a site
of my own that I just finished throwing down the drain.
I wanted in someplace. Obviously, the B*B popped into my
mind. It only took a few sentences of Dingo charm to sway
Mr. Vince, and I was welcomed aboard the Britannia train
to loveliness. From then on I've submitted one huge tutorial,
several character sets, game over screens, and devotion
to the message boards. And I wouldn't be happier doing it
anyplace else. We're the largest outlet for original graphics
out there, and I think anyone that comes to B*B will see
that the second they set foot into our resources section.
They'll see the warmth of the brotherhood when they enter
the message boards. They'll see our sorrow, our feelings,
and our comedics when they enter the Lit section. B*B is
a full package that deserves to be seen, and I'm glad I'm
here. |
